TRUST REGISTRATION

Trust registration is the simplest and easiest form of registration for setting up a Non – Governmental Organisation. A Trust is governed by the Indian Trusts Act, 1881 and requires at least two members to function, one being the settlor and the other being a trustee. A Settlor can himself also be the trustee.

There is no cap on the maximum number of trustees and therefore any number of people can be included in a trust as trustees. However, it is pragmatic to limit the number of trustees only to the core or essential group of people who are utmost required to operate the planned Trust.
